Biden wins primary in three U.S. states
Former US Vice President Joe Biden won the primary in three US states, strengthening his chances of winning the nomination for the right to represent the Democratic Party in the presidential election. This is reported by Reuters on March 18. The last victories were in the states of Florida, Illinois and Arizona. Biden competitor Bernie Sanders still has a minimal chance of winning, which though unlikely, allows him to stay in the election race. This fact is of concern to Democrats, many of whom believe that the protracted struggle between Hillary Clinton and Sanders led to a defeat in the presidential election. Recall, the presidential election in the USA will be held in November 2020 with the candidate from Republicans, acting US President Donald Trump, will fight the winner of the primary from the Democratic Party.
