Medina called incomplete those who demolished the monument to Konev in Prague

The Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Military-Historical Society Vladimir Medina called incomplete those who demolished the monument to Marshal Konev in Prague. He made a statement today, 24 April, during an online lecture with MGIMO students. According to Medina, the demolition of the monument to Marshal Ivan Konev in Prague was decided by politicians of local scale, who so fit the complex of inferiority. Medina stressed that the decision to demolish the monument to Marshal Konev offends not only citizens of Russia, but also those Czech patriots who fought Nazism, and then met with the flowers of Marshal Ivan Konev and Red Army soldiers who freed Prague. Medina also recalled that the monument was made and installed by the Prague authorities themselves as a sign of respect for the fact that the city escaped significant destruction during street fighting. As previously reported by the news agency, on April 3, municipal authorities of Prague-6 district demolished the monument to Konev.
