Montenegrin police: there is still room in prison for quarantine violators
Since the introduction of measures in Montenegro to counter the spread of coronavirus on 14 March 2020, the police have detained more than 800 people and opened more than 800 criminal cases for their violation. The exact figure of 883 people violated the prescribed measures. Most violations are recorded in the capital of Montenegro Podgorica. The cities of Bar and Nikšić follow in terms of the number of violations. As sanctions, depending on the severity of the violations, there is a fine, house arrest or imprisonment. The Department of Penal Enforcement reported that there were places in the prison, and it was possible to even keep quarantine violators separate from other previously convicted persons.
