China canceled the fourth largest cycling race in the world Tour of Lake Qinghai

The Qinghai Lake tour was canceled this year due to the epidemic of a new coronavirus in China, Xinhua News Agency reported on June 29. The event is an annual multi-day road cycling race on the roads of Qinghai Province in northwestern China. It was named after the lake of the same name. The event was originally planned for the period from July 26 to August 2, but the organizers decided to abandon the event, said Yang Haining, deputy director of the Qinghai Province Sports Bureau, adding that other events would be held instead of the race. The Qinghai Lake Tour was first held in 2002. Since then, it has become the fourth largest event in the world after the Tour de France, the Tour of Italy and the Tour of Spain.
