First rocket: how the United States used the development of the Nazis
July 24, 1950 from the landfill at Cape Canaveral was first launched U.S. ballistic missile Bumper-8. It consisted of captured German V-2 rocket and an American WAC Corporal, designed after the Second world war. The launch ended in failure, however, opened a new page in the history of space flight. Now the Cape Canaveral became the center of American trials.
