In Brazil, freed military Venezuela captured by smugglers

A Venezuelan soldier who was allegedly captured by smugglers during an unsuccessful attempt to cross Venezuela has been released by the Brazilian Armed Forces. This was reported on July 29 by the G1 portal, citing a statement by the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. According to the military, on the evening of July 27, on the Brazilian-Venezuelan border, a group of illegal merchants tried to enter Venezuela along smuggling trails in order to import fuel into the territory of the Bolivarian Republic. After the Brazilian Armed Forces received information about this, the Brazilian military from the 1st Forest Infantry Brigade moved into the indicated area, finding a related Venezuelan on the spot. Brazilian troops found out that it was a soldier of the Venezuelan Armed Forces, who was allegedly taken hostage by civilians and taken to Brazil, the portal reports the country's defense ministry. It is also indicated that after the Venezuelan military was peacefully transferred to the representatives of the Brazilian Armed Forces, the latter escorted him to the territory of Venezuela, where they handed over to the liberated commander of the Bolivarian National Guard unit operating on the border of the two countries. In addition, the message of the Brazilian Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the relations between the military of the two countries on the Brazilian-Venezuelan border are of the nature of friendship and cooperation.
