US threatens LNA commander Haftar with sanctions - TWSJ
The US government threatened the commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) Khalifa Haftar with sanctions. This was reported on July 26 by The Wall Street Journal. The reason for this decision may be, allegedly, Haftar's obstruction of oil supplies. Washington threatened Haftar with the imposition of sanctions if he did not resume oil supplies, journalists say. Recall that Haftar is the leader of one of the parties to the internal conflict in Libya, he is fighting with the military of the Government of National Accord (PNS), located in Tripoli.
