Senator who applied for benefits expelled from Salvini's party

Italian Senator Marcia Casolati is expelled from the League party, party representatives said on Thursday, August 20. Earlier it became known that several Italian deputies and senators, including Casolati, applied to the social security fund for benefits for victims of the coronavirus epidemic. The appeal for benefits in itself is not a violation of the law by the deputies, but in the League (as in other parties) they considered that this was extremely incorrect. The benefit is intended for lost income, while the officially declared earnings of Kazolati for 2019 year amounted to a little more than 100 thousand euros.
