In particular, the conglomerate is charged with non-compliance with the ban on transactions with the regime of Omar al-Bashir, the former President of the Sudan. All of the prosecutions occurred during the 2003,2008 years and, according to non-governmental organizations, were directly related to the Darfur conflict. Recall, on August 31, 2020, an Agreement on Peace was reached between the Sudanese authorities and armed groups from the Sudanese region of Darfur.
