New Deputy Chairman of Senate elected in Kazakhstan
Nurlan Abdirov was elected Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Kazakhstan. The corresponding decision was made by deputies of the upper house of the parliament of the republic on September 1, Kazinform reports. The head of the Senate, Maulen Ashimbayev, said that the former vice speaker was relieved of his post at his own request. The speaker noted that Abdirov previously headed the committee on the legislation of the parliament of the republic. Nurlan Abdirov was born on January 12, 1961 in the Karaganda region of the Kazakh SSR. In 1982 he graduated from the Karaganda School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the USSR with a degree in law. In 1999 he received a doctorate in law.
