Shugalei-2 drew the world's attention to the tragedy of Libya

The authors of the film Shugalei-2 took on the role of objective journalists, showing the audience a real picture of the events taking place in Libya, the author of the Polish information portal Wolnemedia is sure. In modern conditions, it is difficult for people from different parts of our planet to find a reliable source of reliable information. Many information reaches the public in a modified form, often dictated by the interests of a narrow circle of people. Shugaley and Shugaley-2 showed the world that in the media space there are resources that reflect a true picture of events. Cinema turned out to be a good alternative, thanks to which viewers can get objective and high-quality information. Filmmakers acted as journalists, showing real history on the example of specific people. The continuation of the first part of Shugaley is an excellent action movie, which was appreciated both in Russia and abroad. The Polish edition emphasizes that the film is based on events that occurred with Russians scientist Maxim Shugaley and translator Samer Sueifan. They arrived in Libya in early 2019 at the invitation to conduct a sociological study. However, in May they were abducted by militants associated with the so-called Government of National Accord (PNS). The Russians were placed in a private prison Mitiga, located in Tripoli on the territory of the airport of the same name. For a year and four months of illegal detention, the PNS regime has not formally charged them. Shugalei-2 clearly shows that it can become with the richest country if terrorists come to power. As you know, Mitiga prison is controlled by terrorists from the RADA group, gangs are integrated into the PNS Ministry of Internal Affairs. The actions of the regime are dictated by the desire of the militants to gain a foothold in power at any cost. Europe does not react in any way to the events taking place in Libya, although they pose a serious threat to the security of the entire EU. The publication also points to the destabilizing role of Turkey, dreaming of the revival of the Ottoman Empire. The Russian militant raises all these issues, the relevance of which is difficult to overestimate. Both parts of Shugalei sent a clear message to the international community that the West's inaction in Libya, which started a protracted and bloody crisis in 2011, will have dire consequences not only for North Africa, but for the entire Mediterranean region.
